A show of might by Barack Obama "against a common house fly".

You won't see Obama acting tough against dictators such as Kim Jong Il or Hugo Chavez. Obama isn't even brave enough to lend support to the students in Iran that are fighting for their democracy. Obama acted like a coward in the presence of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. All of that has changed. Barack Obama demonstrated how tough he is yesterday. No he didn't demonstrate forcefulness against tyrants and dictators, he fought and won against a much formidable opponent.

America for once can be proud of Obama. He forcefully took action against the common house fly. It was laughable watching Obama point to the fly that he killed. The CNBC crew thought Obama was the greatest person ever for merely killing a fly. I guess Obama's ego wasn't pumped up before the interview.

My friend and I were just having this discussion. It's all over the news that PETA (joke) is very upset with the President. But I haven't seen one news channel talk about North Korea and the possible attack on Hawaii. I only read it on the Drudge. What's wrong with this picture.
I missed your site... been away from the computer for a few weeks! Glad you still rock!

CB;"Obama isn't even brave enough to lend support to the students in Iran that are fighting for their democracy.".

First off Tyrone, Iranian form of government is a "Theocracy", not a Democracy.

And explain to me how much good would it do at this point in time for President Obama to publicly speak out in "support" for any opposition to the Iranian government...? or any other government for that matter?

Secondly, it's not just students who are protesting the election in Iran. Most of those involved in the protest (including the candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi) also participated in the 1979 revolution.

I believe that the last thing the Iranian protester's want, and need is American officials publicly offering support or the appearance of tampering in a sovereign governments political process.

Any statement of support for the protest's by President Obama gives the Mullahs a reason to claim U.S. backed intervention into Iranian politics. We already know how hard-line the Iranian government can be against it's own citizens, especially if it is believed that the U.S. is involved. So why should the U.S. give them a reason to use brute force.

The best thing to do is allow the Iranians to decide their own fate.

How T got her groove back "my friend and I were just having this discussion. It's all over the news that PETA (joke) is very upset with the President. Thanks T for the kind words. Whats also shocking T is that Peta actually went after Obama in the first place. Peta is an ultra liberal organization. Normally when Obama does something that might go against what they "claim to stand for", the groups normally look the other way.Even though this example didn't have anything to do with Obama, but can you count how many "feminist" organizations came out against Letterman over his "jokes" against Palin? Even though Peta is a group of kooks, I have to at least give them props for showing that they aren't a bunch of typical liberal hypocrites. As for North Korea. Kim Jong Il sees Obama as nothing more then a "paper tiger". Actually he sees Obama as a mere "punk". Biden said Oama was going to be tested, and this is just one of the tests little Barry is facing. If North Korea does fire rockets towards Hawaii on the 4th of July,it will definitely be a huge show of disregard for Obama "status" by Kim Jong. It doesn't surprise me about he media's lack of coverage. T, you know the media isn't going to broadcast any news that would make Obama look weak in any way. I'm surprised the story about Obama killing the fly wasn't aired more then it was. The fly story has been aired way more times then the story about North Korea.

anon "Send all flies and mice to the officeand homs of Peta reps"

I'm curious on whether Peta is suffer a "backlash" from other liberals for daring to stand up to their "one". A fly died and Peta cried.

P Allen "First off Tyrone, Iranian form of government is a "Theocracy", not a Democracy.

You are right and wrong allen. Allow me to explain. A "Theocracy is a form of government in which a god or deity is recognized as the state's supreme civil ruler. We both know that the Supreme Leader of Iran is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Anyone that ultimately would be elected would merely be a puppet or figure head. When I said that the Iranians are fighting for democracy, I meant to say in their fight to have a fair election in which their votes are counted and are represented. I wasn't referring to the structure of the Iranian government allen.

p allen "And explain to me how much good would it do at this point in time for President Obama to publicly speak out in "support" for any opposition to the Iranian government...? or any other government for that matter?

It shows that the biggest symbol of freedom "well use to be" stands with them in solidarity allen. Nobody said we had to use military actions to "interfere". President Reagan's most famous quote "Mr Gorbachev tear down this wall".
Did Reagan say anything about using force against Russia allen? Reagan was a man of strength through words.Obama is the opposite. He's shows weakness through his words. That's why North Korea is acting so defiant. Even European leaders are coming out openly against the fraudulent election.

http://www.reuters.com/article/latestCrisis/idUSLJ881839

This paragraph sums up perfectly what can't be explained away.

"While many European countries and international human rights organizations have criticized the election and its aftermath, U.S. President Barack Obama's administration has muted its comments to keep the door ajar for possible dialogue."

Replace the word "dialogue" with the word "appeasement". An appeaser will never criticize, he or she will only submit instead. Most of the world knows that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is an Islamic "nut case", yet Obama want to "dialogue" with a nutcase.I never thought I would see the day that European Leaders actually show more backbone in standing up for freedom then the so called President of the country that is suppose to stand for freedom.

p allen "Secondly, it's not just students who are protesting the election in Iran. Most of those involved in the protest (including the candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi) also participated in the 1979 revolution."

I don't think you will find anyone saying that Mir-Hossein Mousavi is a radical reformist allen. The election has more to do with the process itself then whether Mir-Hossein won or not. The candidates were a choice between choosing "your poison". One poison may be more lethal then the other. This actually reminds me in many ways about our last election.

p allen "I believe that the last thing the Iranian protester's want, and need is American officials publicly offering support or the appearance of tampering in a sovereign governments political process."

The Iranian hardliners are the ones trying to say that America is "meddling". It is sheer propaganda. They were going to us America and the west in general as scapegoats to shield their fraudulent acts anyways if the Iranian people discovered what happened. If the Iranians didn't want America's moral support, the students and the opposition in general wouldn't be broadcasting what was going on in Iran through the internet, face book, twitter etc. They want the world to see what is going on. It's absurd to say that the Iranians are risking their lives broadcasting what is happening if they "don't want support from the United States and other western countries allen.

p allen "Any statement of support for the protest's by President Obama gives the Mullahs a reason to claim U.S. backed intervention into Iranian politics. "

News flash allen, the people that are protesting in Iran against the fraudulent election ARE MUSLIMS!!! These aren't Christians, Jews, Hindu's or Buddhists protesting allen. As I stated earlier allen, the Mullahs were already going to us the United States as a propaganda figure if their was an uprising.

p allen "We already know how hard-line the Iranian government can be against it's own citizens, especially if it is believed that the U.S. is involved. So why should the U.S. give them a reason to use brute force."

So with you just admiting that allen, why are so many of those Iranians risking their lives to show the world "including" us what is going on in Iran in regards to the Iranian government crackdowns?

p allen "The best thing to do is allow the Iranians to decide their own fate."

Spoken like a true Obama appeaser. Let people stay oppressed as long as it doesn't involve "us". Liberals want America to desperately become a "neutral country". I guess their mindset is that its better to try and get along with evil then to confront it. Using your words allen, why don't Obama just pull the troops out of Afghanistan? Let the Afghanistan government decide it's own fate. Hell, why don't we just pull out all of our troops around the word and let their individual countries decide their own fate allen. The reality as I see it is pretty clear. People that desire freedom and countries that want to emulate our country look to the United States as good. People that support the taking away of freedoms and rights of people are against what the United States stand for.

Shame on Obama picking on an innocent House fly LOL!
Well I thought being a leader meant showing courage and be decisive! George W. Bush's Actions in Iraq and Afghanistan were heroic at least he made a decision no matter how unpopular the media tried to make it out to be!
Bush is a wimp too but he has more balls than Obama!

.

There are major difference's between the Iran of 2009 and the Soviet Union of the 1980's.

Unlike the Iran of today, during the mid 1980's Gorbachev was moving the USSR toward political openness (glasnost)and economic restructuring (perestroika). Basically, the Soviet government was "giving in" to Democratic principles, whereas the Iranian government is attempting to take it away.

Perhaps you're to young to remember, but, during Reagan's first term in office, his rhetoric increased East-West tensions to levels that had no been seen since the Cuban Missile crisis.

Furthermore, I said, nor implied, nothing about using "force." I said that President Obama "speaking out" in support of the protesters is the wrong thing to do.

No fly was harmed in the filming of that interview. lol

Chilerkle "Shame on Obama picking on an innocent House fly LOL!"

Its more like "Obama lied and house fly died" Chilerkle, lol.

Chilerkle "Well I thought being a leader meant showing courage and be decisive! George W. Bush's Actions in Iraq and Afghanistan were heroic at least he made a decision no matter how unpopular the media tried to make it out to be!"

BINGO!!!!Obama is desperately wants to be liked. I believe deep down the guy suffers from an inferiority complex. You are so right Chilerkle. Love him or hate him, Bush did what he thought was right regardless of focus polls. I doubt seriously "W" would have given a whimpering position on the elections in Iran. It was because of Bush that Iran's next door neighbors in Iraq now have free elections. When the Iraqi operation started Chilerkle, I thought Bush was nuts. He said to the Iraqi people "their liberation is at hand". Dam if the guy wasn't right. The Iraqis are a liberated people. Obama could never have the "grapefruits" to buck public opinion and follow his gutt.

Chilerkle "Bush is a wimp too but he has more balls than Obama!"

I don't think Bush was more so a wimp Chilerkle. I believe many times he was on the wrong side of important issues. If he only would have done some things different on some keep issues, he could have gone down as one of the great ones in history Chilerkle.
