Kanye West is the symbol of trash, but Beyonce is a pillar of class.

A few years ago Americans had to listen to this self absorbed fool rant on about his claim that "George Bush didn't like black people" because of the timing response to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

When Kanye made that statement, I said to myself that he's going to make a horses ass out of himself again in the near future. It would just be a matter of time. We have arrived to the future, and I was proven right yet again. At the MTV Music Video Awards, Kanye West was openly drinking a bottle of Hennessy before the event started. That was a low class moment in itself for Kanye, but Kanye manged to even outdo that moment. A 19 year old country artist by the name of Taylor Shift won the award for Best Female Video for the song "You Belong To Me". As she was accepting her award, a drunken and rude Kanye West stormed onto the stage and snatched the microphone from her hands. He then went on the proclaim that Beyonce should have won the award instead. Beyonce wasn't pleased at all with Kanye's actions and neither were the thousands of people in attendance. Everyone booed Kanye for him utterly humiliating Taylor Swift's big moment. In the end he actually humiliated himself much more then words can describe.

Taylor was left speechless and couldn't continue, Beyonce was embarrassed by Kanye's stunt. A few years ago, Kanye West was pictured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and presented to resemble the image of Jesus Christ. That magazine cover was fake in more ways then one, and I actually commented on it at the time. Even though Kanye West is the moral equivalent of rat turds, something good did come out of the misfortunate event in the end. Later in the evening, Beyonce won the award for Best Video of the Year. Beyonce made reference to her first VMA win as a 17-year-old with Destiny's Child and how much it meant to her. Knowing how it felt to her when she had her first big moment, Beyonce asked Taylor Swift back onto the stage so she could finish what she couldn't say thanks to Kanye West's drunken ignorance before. I have a lot of words to describe what Beyonce did, and they are all extremely positive. Racists folks both black and white on the internet and on Youtube are trying to make the event of Kanye West and Taylor Swift a racial thing. To me it was nothing more then a completely disrespectful act by Kanye West. I'm not going to play into racial aspect of this, because I don't want to lower my I.Q in the process. I've seen the comments on the blogs and on youtube. Some people really need to get a life or at least a pet. Kanye needs to check himself into celebrity rehab and put down the bottle of Hennessy. He obviously can't handle is liquor. Beyonce truly impressed me for the class, graciousness and empathy she showed towards Taylor Swift. She is definitely a classy woman, and I wish her continued success. I can't say the same for Kanye West for continued obvious reasons.

kanya west is a black fool less than a donkey's penis type of man. why was he so stupid? That was insane! Beyonce acted with grace and class and all fans should stop buying West records. Many young blacks I know like Swift and say West was wrong and dont like it.

Kanye West has to be one of the most most hated men in America right now without at doubt.Donkey Penis does sum it pretty well lol. I guess Hennessey was proven to be to strong for Kanye. He should have tried something less strong like a Pina Colada lol. It's been reported that he apologized. I wonder did he do it, because he sobered up and actually felt bad for his actions or he Public Relations people told him too as they were kicking back bottles of Pepto Bismo trying to do damage control for Kanye? It's nice to know that young blacks aren't defending Kanye's actions.

I have an equation which describes this man:

Alcohol + Loser + lots of Money

national TV audience / ignorance

Kanye West is a self absorbed idiot! West is like the music industries version of self absorbed conservative pundits, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.

Kudo's to Beyonce' for her grace and civility. (and that "red dress"!.. yoooowww-wah!)

I have never seen Ann Coulter or Rush, for all their shortcomings (which I have seen), pull the stunt Kanye West pulled.

This has nothing to do with the color of one's skin (except maybe in that guy's mind). It is about being an a-h.

Having said all that, West did apologize twice so far. We can speculate he did it because everyone hates him and it might not be sincere, but we cannot get into another man's heart. He did apologize. The damage is done yes, and he will have to deal with the fallout.

But still in regards to forgiving him- forgiveness is good, even when someone messed up like that and then man up and owned it.

Mr. Tent Trash "Alcohol + Loser + lots of Money

The first three variables of your equation is dead on allan. The national tv audience part for the most part is right two, but most people who watched the awards are bashing Kanye West up and down. So for this one time only, the national audience did exercise the right judgment.

p allen "Kanye West is a self absorbed idiot! West is like the music industries version of self absorbed conservative pundits, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.Kudo's to Beyonce' for her grace and civility. (and that "red dress"!.. yoooowww-wah!)"

It must going to snow in September. Me and you are mostly on the same page allen? That's freaking weird!! I do disagree that Kanye is in the same company as Limbaugh and Coulter. Those two actually have a brain and would have never did what Kanye did. I do agree with you 100% when it comes to Beyonce. I keep watching that part of the video of her graciously allowing Taylor to have her moment at the sake of Beyonce's time. Very few of the music celebatards would have done what Beyonce did. I also agree that her dress was hot.

Me neither thuyen. The only thing that Limbaugh and Coulter could be accused of is coming off sounding arrogant or cocky or whatever. I don't see that necessarily as a problem, but some people do.

I don't buy his apology. I believe the only reason he apologized was because the negative impact was that great against him thuyen. At this point,Kanye West can't buy a friend.

Thuyen Tran "But still in regards to forgiving him- forgiveness is good, even when someone messed up like that and then man up and owned it."

I hear what you are saying thuyen. My mother taught me to "turn the other cheek when someone wrongs you". Forgiveness is a hard thing sometimes thuyen.

I can't believe that Kanye acted this way. I can state that from now on, I am no longer a fan. His behavior was beyond trashy. What makes it worse is that Taylor Swift is so talented and such a nice person who has accomplished so much in her young life. Hopefully, she sees Kanye for the jerk that he is and doesn't take it personally. And yes, Beyonce is classy and seems to be one of the few genuinely nice people in the industry.

Kanye West is a Jackass! Rush Limbaugh has class P. Anthony Allen the comparison is the equivalent to apples and oranges.

Kanye West also shouldn't make political statements he should stick to being an entertainer though I get the feeling he won't be as popular now that he's gone so far as to ruin a fine moment Taylor Swift.

Then again I'm not fond of hiphop artists since many of them disrespect black women!

Could you imagine the public outcry and righteous indignation that would have erupted, by black liberals and the media, had Justin Timberlake, walked on stage, half drunk, and yanked the mike from Beyonce, as she was making her speech. while suggesting that Lady Ga-Ga had one of the best videos ever made?

Timberlake would have been hailed as a racist, and forced to make a public apology, while contributing something to the N A A C P. On top of that, he would have to make an appearance on Shrpton's radio program, after a massive protest march, in front of the MTV studios.

Finally, Timberlake would most likely have had his contact stripped, and forced into a temporaryretirement!

When I first heard of Kanye West it was in the fund raiser promo for the Hurricane Katrina victims.

His first claim when Bush failed to respond in a timely manner was "George Bush doesn't care about black people" it made me steamed. If I was Mike Meyers, I would have told him to shut the F' up.

After this remark, I heard a few days later he was booed off a football field while singing the National Anthem.

Another remark I heard he made (though, it could be a rumor), that he ought to be in the Bible.

If anyone can remember, comedian Carlos Mencia made a video called "Kanye West Is A Crazy N***a!" on his show, "Mind of Mencia", on account of West's Bible remarks.

Sometimes it makes me wonder, how can anyone listen or buy his CDs from someone with a big ego as big as his mouth?

Some blacks are using the election of Obama to act like fools. It is embarassing and unecessary. Blacks are doing other blacks an injustice. They are causing a race war to commence. Islam and stupid raCIST ARE DOING IT.

Marxism and Islam have the same goals to destroy freedom. Democracy and freedom is not Marxism and Islam and both are in the white house.

Kanye's actions actually surprised you lovebug? lol why? You must have been a fan. After Kanye's "Hall of Shame" moment, a lot of his fans have become FORMER fans of Kanye. I have a strong feeling that the Beyonce and Taylor Swift fans clubs are experiencing a surge in new members. It's just a hunch.

lovebugh "I can state that from now on, I am no longer a fan. His behavior was beyond trashy. It was reported today that Kanye called Taylor "I guess he was sober" to apologize. Taylor said that Kanye sounded sincere. A sincere Kanye West is like peanut butter and tuna. It just doesn't go together. Kanye is in full blown damage control right now. I bet in up coming interviews he'll be shedding some tears on camera to give the impression "he was so hurt". Maybe he'll blame his actions on his "wounded inner child" or something along those lines.

p allen "First he called Officer Crowley stupid...now he's calling Kanye a "Jackass"????"

The second call Obama got right allen. West is a Jackass and that's putting it mildly. So this one conservative actually agrees with Obama. So what do you have to say about that allen?lol

p allen "I hear some conservatives are already calling President Obama's comments a "racist attack". lol"

You have to be joking, I believe any true conservative have to have Obama's back on his statement about Kanye.

That is why people like Kanye West are referred to as "celebratards" almondtea. You saw the "I pledge" video the Obama celebratards did. Nobody in their right mind would listen to them on the matter of politics. Of course they're are exceptions to the rules. So celebrities are very bright and knowledgeable, but they are the exception and not the norm.

Kanye West’s Anger May Well be a Symptom of Depression

While anger is not listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Nervous and Mental Disorders, it is often a prominent symptom of clinical depression especially in African American men. According to Dr. David Satcher, former U.S. Surgeon General, “African American men who suffer from depression are far less likely to be diagnosed for depression and therefore less likely to receive treatment than Caucasian men”.

The stigma associated with counseling or psychotherapy makes the acknowledgement of depression in African American unacceptable.

Of the common symptoms associated with depression, anger is the only symptom that makes the sufferer feel strong and powerful.

This is one of the reasons that the expression of angry feelings in African American men are easier than feelings of inadequacy, low self-esteem or persistent sadness. The unfortunate consequence of the failure to appropriately address depression in African American men is the disproportionate number of person or property directed violent offences among this population.

Many African American men and adolescents boys are diverted from counseling or psychotherapy for depression to the criminal justice system with mandated anger management, intervention or incarceration.

Anger management is not a substitute for psychiatric treatment, psychotropic medication or psychotherapy. Therefore, all professional anger management providers should determine during the assessment if an evaluation for depression is also indicated.

In mainstream society depression and mental illness are still somewhat taboo subjects; in the black community they are topics that are almost completely shrouded in secrecy. As a result, millions of black men are suffering in silence or getting treatment only in extreme circumstances–in emergency rooms, homeless shelters, and prisons. The neglect of emotional disorders among men in the black community is nothing less than racial suicide.

In Kanye West’s case, he appears to be experiencing protracted grieving in relation to the tragic loss of his mother that has gone unrecognized and untreated.

I appreciate your excuses for bad behavior. All black men dont act like pure fools. Dr. Carson is not depressed. whites get depressed, maybe they had a dark moment. (smile) Black boys need to be taught common sense and not hate of the white man and to move on. During slavery black men escaped. Black women took guns to keep black men from going back and telling the masters where the safe house was.

George Anderson, MSW, BCD, CAMF, answer this question...

What are the causes of these "mental illness's?

All human illness, be it physical or mental, has causes. Some of these illness's can be prevented by early detection, some can be relieved or cured by specific treatments. However, before effective cure's can be developed, we must first know how, or why the illness was borne.

My question to you is, what are the "root" cause(s) of this, "prominent symptom of clinical depression especially in African American men."

Kanye is immature. He is lacking in social filters ... and that has been the case all along ... before and after the loss of his beloved mother. He is just simply immature. I hope he gets the help he needs or he's not going to be truly successful in life.
