From Hollywood to the media and now Team Obama, the left's problem with the representation of diversity.

I could hardly stop laughing while I was thinking about what I was going to say on this issue this, because the sheer irony in it is just unbelievable. Progressive Democrats have long demonized the Republican Party and the Tea Party as being monolithically white, even though that isn't true. Progressives have always echoed the lie that they are the champions and advocates of "diversity". That is also a tall tale on their part. I remember during the George Bush administration in which progressives labeled blacks in the Bush administration like Condi Rice, Alphonso Jackson, Rod Page, Collin Powell as being just mere tokens. Progressives being the two faced hypocrites that they are never seem to bend their finger backwards at themselves however. Hollywood and the media are infested by progressive and socialist Democrats.  Be that as it may, one would be hard pressed to see much diversity on television or in the movies that are produced in Hollywood. Even Spike Lee notices the obvious. Back in 2010, the kook fringe over at MSNBC tried to put forth a false narrative about the lack of diversity within the tea party movement, yet MSNBC surprise, surprise didn't want to address it's own real lack of diversity problem. Mark Levin pointed it out however.

The Dallas Tea Party also brilliantly pointed out that neon blazing fact also. By them doing so, thy showed MSNBC to be the self righteous, blinded hypocrites that they are.

I believe because they were called out on their hypocrisy and being exposed for their total lack of diversity, that is the only real logical reason why they hired Al Sharpton and gave him a show on MSNBC.I guess that makes Al Sharpton the token black guy? So now, this brings us to Barack Hussein Obama. Surely the first black "biracail" democratic progressive president has the most diverse cabinet of any president in history right? Well not so fast in that assumption. It seems that

the first black president has a noticeable shortage of black faces in his administration, his staff and in his campaign.

I guess blacks were good enough to vote for him but just weren't good enough to work for him and on his behalf? Are we to believe that there isn't enough qualified blacks to work in the Obama campaign or on his staff? If Obama was a Republican president, the media would have been  jumped all over this as Obama being out of touch with black America and questioning whether Obama is merely a puppet of rich white people. So how did this happen exactly? Obama received over  90% of the votes of blacks in 2008 yet the representation of blacks in his staff, campaign and administration is sparse. I guess the hour glass trickle down theory doesn't work in this case. Before the left tries to talk a good game about the right and diversity, they would be well advised to understand the rules themselves on diversity first.

I was switching channels and came across MSNBC and they had Martin Bashir for his own show. Martin Bashir, a journalist from Britain of Pakistani decent.

MSNBC are really improving with their diversity, aren't they? Of course I'm being facetious.

I wonder why Keith Olberman and others like won't accept the invitation to any Tea Party events? Afraid their pride and ego would be dented?

Here is a question to Chris Matthews, a member of MSNBC: if you and your show, and your network are all about diversity, why do you send your kids to a pre dominate white private school in Washington D.C., a city that is pre dominately black?

I would think the Obama camp wouldn't want to "appear too black", which is just another example of why race is a second rate ideology. You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.

Hey anon, if you think Tea Party types and fiscal/social conservatives as well as libertarians WANT Mitt Romney, you are sadly mistaken.

Ole' Mittens was what the 'back room Repubs' shoved down our throats. They think they need someone who will "appeal" to a more mainstream (read 'undecided') voter. TP types are not happy with this choice.

Your post seems to be with a religous bent, but it lacks Message. Just sounds like more pseudo-liberal raving. Come back when you have something interesting to say.

I agree. I said last year that if conservatives then rally around one conservative candidate, they were going to split their votes and make it that much raiser for Romney to win the nomination. True enough, that is exactly what happened. Romney's supporters stood with Mitten's from day one while conservatives faulted every self pronounced conservative in the race from Bachmann to Perry to Gingrich to Cain.

Mittens does have a lot of work to sure up conservatives to hold their breath and rally around him. His VP pick will make or break his candidacy. If he is smart he would be well advised to spend the time between now and the convention making huge outreaches to conservative and tea party groups and promising them a sit at the table if he wins. He can't afford to think for one second that just because he is the nominee conservatives and tea party folks are merely going to fall in line and support him like minorities do every-time for Democratic candidates.

Obama's problem is that he is appearing too white. Jeremiah Wright said in one of his now infamous sermons that "Barack knows what it is like living around RICH WHITE PEOPLE". Well look at who Obama has mainly been hanging around with "RICH WHITE PEOPLE". The irony is laughable. I don't recall ever seeing Obama in a photo op in a economically depressed black urban neighborhood pressing palms with the masses yet. Maybe he feels that blacks are an automatic lock for him. If he believes that's the case, he's right. Obama can be caught robbing a bank today, and black supporters will say that he was going to give the money to the needy.
