Andrea Mitchell should have called in sick.

Progressives are no match for conservatives. I frankly do not know why they actually believe that their talking points can actually debate those on the right who are armed with facts. One would think after the bogus progressive journalist Andrea Mitchell was exposed for selectively editing Mitt Romney's speech last month to make him look like he was out of touch, she would be on some sort of extended vacation or still be hiding under her bed. Since the left isn't known for caring about being embarrassed or having any shame, she is back at it again. This time however, the joke was on her. Andrea was hosting the MSNBC show the Daily Fix today, her guest that I bet by now she wish she didn't have on was New Hampshire Governor John Sununu. Andrea tried to bring  up the new Democratic talking point about Mitt Romney possibly having money in some offshore Cayman bank accounts. Of course this is just another side issue that people don't care about, but this is their strategy of attack going forward. Governor Sunuunu made Andrea Mitchell look and sound like a complete fool. It was must see tv at it's finest.

What Governor Sununu did was simply present the facts about Obama's administration actually outsourcing jobs via the stimulus funds, and that was something that Andrea couldn't defend against. I have to wonder how exactly is Obama and the media going to be able to gain any traction with this Plan D strategy of claiming Romney outsourced jobs when he was with Baine Capital, when Andrea Mitchell couldn't even make it work? The whack pack just gets funnier and funnier as the election draws near. I've been pretty impressed with the rapid response team of Romney's campaign. They've already called out Obama as a liar on the outsourcing issue and even used Hillary Clinton's words back in 2008 to do it.

Perhaps the staff at "The Daily Fix" didn't update Andrea's fact sheet. Sununu was able to rattle off a few false claims and laugh in her face while doing it. The shameful part is that the misinformation wins...

In all fairness, both the Obama campaign and the Republican opposition are embellishing this "who's the biggest outsourcer" meme. FactCheck.Org has done their homework by checking with the government budget offices, and the recipients of the Stimulus funds to see if funds were used to "outsource" jobs to foreign workers and/or companies. According to their findings, they conclude that any charges of "outsourcing" of Stimulus funds are at best loosely based as to mislead, and if not, entirely false.

Gov. Sununu specifically mentioned Fisker Automotive. His claim that "jobs were outsourced" is just nut true.

"Fisker has raised over $1 billion in private equity, Fisker spokesman Roger Ormisher told us. That private money was used to finance the manufacture the cars in Finland, he said, while the DOE loan was used exclusively in the U.S. for engineering, design and marketing, and sales. That supported more than 600 jobs in the U.S., he said. All of the DOE loan money that we got for the Karma project 'HAD' to be spent in America,” Ormisher said".

On the other side, the Obama campaign claims Romney "directly outsourced" jobs overseas. Here again the claim is "loosely framed to mislead." To this date I haven't seen any evidence that Romney himself outsourced of moved jobs overseas.

However, a newly reported story from Mother Jones cites that;

"On April 17, 1998, Brookside Capital Partners Fund, a Bain Capital affiliate, filed a report with the Securities and Exchange Commission noting that it had acquired 6.13 percent of Hong Kong-based Global-Tech Appliances, which manufactured household appliances in a production facility in the industrial city of Dongguan, China. That August, according to another SEC filing, Brookside upped its interest in Global-Tech to 10.3 percent. Both SEC filings identified Romney as the person in control of this investment: "Mr. W. Mitt Romney is the sole shareholder, sole director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brookside Inc. and thus is the controlling person of Brookside Inc.".

If this story is accurate, it would mean that Romney invested in the outsourcing of American jobs. But again, in all fairness, it doesn't mean he "directly outsourced" jobs.

CB;"I frankly do not know why they actually believe that their talking points can actually debate those on the right who are armed with facts".

What facts did Gov. Sununu cite? He stated that $500 million went to Fisker that immediately went to Finland. The New York Times reports (July 2012) that Fisker has taken only $193 million of the loans. They go on to say that last May the government blocked further drawn downs on the loan because Fisker had not met certain milestones built into the loan agreement.

So, what facts did Gov. Sununu cite?

All I am hearing now is hear say. If Romney outsourced any jobs directly while running Baine Capital then by all means present the amount of jobs outsourced and tie them to Romney. Allegations are a poor substitution for facts. Let's play devil's advocate. Let's say that some jobs were outsourced under Romney, when he was with Baine. What does any of that have to do with Obama's failed economic record and polices and warranting him being reelected based on that? This is really nothing but a distraction issue.

I can't stop laughing. So the smoking gun is that Baine acquired an existing Hong Kong based company? What am I missing here? So what jobs were outsourced? The Hong Kong company originated in Hong Kong. It wasn't an American company that moved to Hong Kong and took jobs with it. Sorry but you have nothing. That is like saying that if I buy a company in China tomorrow, I can be accused of outsourcing. What exactly did I out source when I bought a company in another country? With Fisker, fisker is an American based company who outsourced it's manufacturing of it's product to another country. See the difference? I doubt it.

Who's claiming there's a smoking gun? Calm down Tyrone. I never claimed a smoking gun. I said this;

Moreover, no where in the Mother Jones story do they claim that Romney directly outsourced anything. The tone of your writing is similar to Andrea Mitchell. You seem to be grasping at straws, rattling on about something that neither I nor the Mother Jone article said.

Sununu didn't say that Fisker is an American company that outsources jobs to Finland (which is a fact). He said $500 million of Stimulus money went to Finland (which is a lie). Hell, GM has a dozen manufacturing plants in Europe. Ford has an assembly plant in Russia! Both received the same type of loans that Fisker got. Under those loans is the government outsourcing jobs?

But I bet you still believe that Stimulus money was spent outsourcing jobs....don't you?

Calm down? Why should I be upset in the first place? People on the right aren't talking about Baine Capital, Offshore bank account etc. The left is trying to throw crap the wall in hopes that it sticks. We know all about the "seriousness of the charge" tactic. Of course you all aren't saying Romney did something wrong, but he should be in the hotseat anyways and explain an already debunked story, wink wink. The playbook is old allen.

p allen "Moreover, no where in the Mother Jones story do they claim that Romney directly outsourced anything. The tone of your writing is similar to Andrea Mitchell. You seem to be grasping at straws, rattling on about something that neither I nor the Mother Jone article said."

The tone of my writing? Ny "tone" was that of making fun of Andrea Mitchell's intelligence. This all isn't about me nor Romney. It's your friends in the media working with the Obama camp coming up with these wild eyed conspiracies. I'm merely commenting on this stuff. I find it humorous how desperate the left is to find anything on Romney. If they could only defend Obama's economic record, oops can't do that. lol

p allen "Sununu didn't say that Fisker is an American company that outsources jobs to Finland (which is a fact). He said $500 million of Stimulus money went to Finland (which is a lie). "

You are right he was wrong about the dollar figure to Fisker, but $500 million dollars in tax payer money DID GO to Solyndra, and the rest is history and so is the money. That might have been what he got crossed up. He was wrong about the dollar amount but he was still correct about where the cars were being manufactured.

p allen "Hell, GM has a dozen manufacturing plants in Europe. Ford has an assembly plant in Russia! Both received the same type of loans that Fisker got. Under those loans is the government outsourcing jobs? "

Show me the links allen to back that up.

CB;"He was wrong about the dollar amount but he was still correct about where the cars were being manufactured".

That wasn't even a "good try" in evading the subject at hand! Sununu said; "$500 million immediately went to Finland." All you have to do is read the "FactCheck.org" and "New York Times" articles. I gave you links. They interviewed all sides (Gov't and company officials) about the loans. According to their findings, Sununu's assertion is FALSE.

CB;"Show me the links allen to back that up".

In September of 2009, Ford Motor Company received a $5.9 billion U.S. Department of Energy loan. Ford also recent built it's 500,000th vehicle in it St. Petersburg, Russia plant.

So if we are to take Sununu's assertions as a "fact", one can also say that $5.9 billion "went immediately to Russia."

What does Romney's tax records have to do with Obama's economic record as president and whether he deserves another term? As I said before allen, you are the ones wanting to fuel this distraction, I'm not playing along. The same way you and other dismissed people who questioned Obama's birth certificate, and college transcripts as being "birthers", I'm going to dismiss this.

That's right, "ANONYMOUS" accuses me of posting "ANONYMOUSLY?" Look dude, Tyrone has been open enough, understandingly enough, gentlemanly enough, fair enough and kind enough to allow me to post here to debate political issues "man-to-man." I use my "real" name because I don't wish to hide now, nor in the future, as to what my views and opinions are, with no intention of hiding from anyone. If Tyrone wants to stop me from posting he's free to do so.

Secondly I would never be so cowardly to post "anonymously" to say anything. Anything I have to say I'll say it proudly. Just to show how silly you are, you're posting "anonymously!!" According to your very own words, for all Tyrone knows it could be "me" posting as "you", pretending to be "you", but it's really "me!" How stupid can you be dude?

Nothing....

It's about the "presidential campaign!" During presidential campaigns the candidates are often asked to show their tax returns and reveal their personal finances.

CB;"The same way you and other dismissed people who questioned Obama's birth certificate, and college transcripts as being "birthers", I'm going to dismiss this.".

President Obama did release his birth certificate....TWICE! Still, the birthers claim that the documents are fake. Oh wait...here's what Romney can do. He can issue "fake" tax returns, then the birthers can say we're even!

I've heard that a lot from others as well, lol. Allen is an ok guy, just misguided as hell on just about everything. He makes conservative look so good by demonstrating to other readers how absurd, and ridiculous liberalism is. The old saying give a person enough rope and they will hang themselves with it. Well that is what allen does to liberalism which is a win for common sense conservatism.
